Support the campaign

A small donation makes a difference.

You don’t have to give big to change a city. When neighbours give a little, the campaign can put signs on streets, get volunteers to doors, and keep talking to residents instead of donors.

Gifts start at $5. Questions about a donation or a receipt? Email the campaign.

Where it goes

A little goes a long way.

Lawn signs on more streets

Signs go up block by block, and each one costs money to print and place. A small gift puts the campaign’s name in front of neighbours who haven’t heard it yet.

Volunteers at more doors

Canvass teams need clipboards, maps and materials. Your gift keeps teams out in neighbourhoods across Oshawa right up to Voting Day.

Conversations that reach further

Phone calls and messages reach the residents who aren’t home at a door — shift workers, seniors, families with young kids. That is most of Oshawa.

A campaign that answers to no one

No business or union money. Every dollar comes from a resident, so the only voice Sherland has to answer to is yours.

How to give

1

Pledge your amount on the Donate page and get your reference code

2

Send an Interac e-transfer to chhangur4mayor@gmail.com

3

Put your reference code in the e-transfer message

Auto Deposit is on, so no security question is needed. Your reference code is how the campaign matches your transfer and issues your receipt.

Who can give

Under Ontario’s Municipal Elections Act, contributions can only come from individuals who normally live in Ontario, from their own money. Businesses and unions can’t donate. Each person can give up to $1,200 to this campaign in total.

No money to spare?

Volunteer an hour, take a lawn sign, or tell a neighbour what the campaign stands for. It counts the same.
